Some coffees seem to hum with the life of the land itself. Taíno Pink Honey carries that song, a reflection of the mountains, the mist, and the steady warmth of Jarabacoa.

The name honors the Taíno people, the island’s first cultivators and guardians of its soil, whose respect for balance and renewal still shapes the land today. It’s a tribute to their legacy and to the living harmony between nature and those who tend it.

During our visit, we met with Delvie and his son, the pair who guide every detail of the farm’s ecosystem, from nurturing the soil and reforesting native trees to managing the effects of shifting climates. Their work blends deep agronomy with instinct, treating each harvest as both science and art.

The Pink Honey process here is precise and patient. After the ripe cherries are pulped, a portion of the fruit’s natural mucilage remains, slowly drying under shade as the sugars ferment and take on a delicate rose hue. The result is a cup alive with tropical sweetness, guava and citrus layered with notes of honey, caramel, and a soft hint of toasted nut.

Bright yet balanced, it reflects the quiet devotion of the people who tend these slopes and the harmony of a land that gives generously. A gentle reminder that beauty, when guided by care, always finds its way to the cup.
